Mechanical and functionaly it works and dose exactly what is says in the title. I'de say as a learning project its great. There were no breaking bugs that I could find and it gives you something to aim for. I would just say for your next project try something with a bit more game play/ chanlenge.

Another change you should really make is having the GUI (Time, Score) in front of the cards, I also found myself being able to select the GUI element. Realy unless I need to interacte with a GUI element I shouldn't be able to.

Firstly I'de just like to say that the audio and visuals for this game are fantastic. The low score is only due to the gameplay being broken.

But, I feel like you have neglected some glaring issues with your game player/design. The main being that the player can hit there head on the top of the screen, causing them to fall and making just from higher platfroms imposible. I also found that collecting a cystal mid air also caused this effect.

Secondly, with only a jump input available, i found the task of dodging the incoming hazards more of a case of luck rather then skill. Maybe some left and right movement will give the player more ability to avoid these hazzards.

This game feels like it was pushed to the aesthetics stage of development to early. Resulting is a game that looks and sounds great, but is always going to be draged down by broken gameplay. Try building a bullet proof game out of boxes, then add in your visuals it will result in a must stronger product.

Yeah, sorry about that. I'm new around here and I was just testing the service. Didn't imagine people would actually find it :P I'm trying my best to fix it, don't know what's the problem though; have to keep looking :)

I think this is a strong base. The controls feel effective for the task we are given and I love the simplistic art style and changing colours. I would say some audio is needed via sound effects or just a simple looking track, would really add to the game.

I'd say from this point you could really look to build on this base with different enemies, shooting types and add some move complex elements.

Visually and fundamentally the game works just fine.

I do think it would be more engaging if the player more control over the height of the jumps, (e.i) holding jump long = a higher jump.

A pause between deaths would also be nice so we can see the score we achieved before starting again.

Audio and visual wise I think you have a very strong game. It look greate but I can't say the same for how it feels. The cart just don't feel good to control. I would spend more time wokring on your controls because as nice as the game looks, the controll just drag it down.

Maybe start by having the mouse controll aiming instead of keys.

Like the game as a base concept, its simple to understand and can be adapted to a number of level scenarios.

Pros: Visuals are great as they are, I love simple drawn art styles. Music is also a keeper and fits in nicely, maybe a tad quiet compared to the rest of the Audio.

Cons: Needs more levels. I would also suggest trying a version of the game where the player jump height is effected based on the length of time the jump key is pressed for. This style of Jump give the player a much stronger feeling of control over the player.

Maybe add a few more special blocks to add more depth the the game. (Block the slow you down, Speed you up, allow to jump extra high).

Keep it up looking forward to see what comes of it.

Thank you for the review! I'm creating some new blocks and levels, an updated version will come out soon. I'm also fixing the volume of the music/effects.
